<b>Sunday, 10/05/2008</b><p>
This summer I was approached by Ken Carpenter about the possibility of releasing a documentary & live concert on DVD with Franklin Springs Family Media. Shortly thereafter, two camera men travelled with us for five days, capturing life on the road to help tell our story on the DVD. Next, a live concert will be taped on October 18 in Franklin, TN. All are invited! We would love to see you there! Needless to say, this is a very exciting development for us.

And there's more... We are currently working with several folks in the Nashville area to record several songs that will be released to radio and placed on a new CD that will combine live performances from the DVD concert and studio tracks! And all of this is slated for release on November 20! It's a bit overwhelming, but very clear that we should move forward in our efforts to produce good music and promote a multigenerational and Scriptural view of family and life.

WE NEED YOU TO BE INVOLVED!
Amazingly, we will not have to finance the Documentary/Concert Video, however, the studio tracks, the promotion of the music, and the duplication of the new CD are all up to me. Even though we will spend a lot less than the normal record label, we're looking at our biggest single business expenditure to date, and I would welcome your involvement. After several people asked how they could help, and after a lot of thought and prayer, I have decided to ask for a small donation. You can give more, of course, or less, but an average gift of $10 from everyone on my email list would provide what we need, as well as give us head start on what the marketing campaign will cost. Gifts can be tax-deductible. Here's the link:
http://www.nathanclarkgeorge.com/donations.html

Thanks so much for joining us in this endeavor, and for your friendship! Enjoy the sneak peek! http://www.nathanclarkgeorge.com/video/ncgteaser1.mov

P.S. If you can't play the video, you need Quicktime: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

<b>Saturday, 10/04/2008</b><p>
Dear friends,

First, here's a big howdy to all the newcomers from CO, TX, NM, OK, KS & IL! I figured howdy was appropriate for all the western folks in that list of states.... It was great to meet you - and thanks for making this a great summer. Next, I have an invitation and some very exciting news!

INVITATION TO A CONCERT and FILMING:
You are invited to Franklin, TN!! I mean it. You can fly, drive, carpool, ride, walk.... (Maybe my friends in NM can pick up those in TX.) In any case, we would love to see you on Oct. 18th at 7:00pm for a live concert and filming for an upcoming DVD! This is not just a generic invitation. We would truly love for you to come and join us.

Franklin Springs Family Media will be recording a live concert to be included on an upcoming DVD / Documentary! I will be joined by Mark Stoffel on mandolin/violin, Ross Sermons on bass, and my brother Benjamin on drums. We would LOVE to have a great crowd for the filming and invite you to attend! It will be Saturday, Oct. 18th at 7:00pm just outside Franklin, TN.

Please RSVP. Not because you will be turned away if you decide to show up at the last minute, but because we really need to have a head count for planning and such.

SNEAK PEEK:
To learn how all this came about, to be involved, and for a 30 second sneak peek of the documentary go here: http://www.nathanclarkgeorge.com/news.html?news_id=76

I will update you on the progress soon!
Peace to you all.
nathan

<b>Wednesday, 08/13/2008</b><p>
While many of my friends are suffering through air so humid you can taste it, my family and I are still enjoying the clean mountain air of the Sangre de Cristos here in Colorado. Just thought I'd point that out - here we are on a mountain side, suffering for Christ.....

FAMILY NEWS:
It's been an exciting year on several fronts, not the least of which is enjoying Matthias, our mostly happy, but still not sleeping through the night nine month old. He's got a joyful smile and lungs to beat the band. We've been enjoying audio books with the older of the crew, our latest being The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Patsy just ordered a whole new set of books for the new homeschool year, and so now my job will be to find places for the old books somewhere in this shrinking motorhome!

MUSIC NEWS:
Life never seems to slow, and on the music front it's the same. A lot has been happening! This spring I hired a manager, Wally Nason. It's a big step for us and we are excited about working with him. Plus, there is a good possibility that we will be gearing up for a video shoot that will include life in the motorhome, road life, and some live concert footage. It's going to be a very busy fall.

Also, I have started the demo process for a NEW CD! I'm excited about this, because it will probably include a couple songs about family and dads, some artsy tunes, some Scripture, perhaps a couple spirituals/hymns, and a couple of my old tunes that haven't seen the light of day in a long time. It will most likely range from quite energetic to quite soft; full band to solo.

TOURING:
I am filling in the last few dates for the fall in KS, AR, IL, MO, & VA! I'll be close to the Carolinas as well. If you would like to schedule a concert just shoot me an email soon!

IN CLOSING:
Last week I took my family to the Focus on the Family complex and met with several great folks for a short interview that will be included this Friday (Aug.15) on "The Boundless Show." Here's the link: http://www.boundlessline.org/podcast/

Peace to you,
nathan

Hello from Colorado,

First, welcome aboard to all the newcomers! I hope you were able to grab the free instrumental tunes. If you need help, let me know.
http://www.nathanclarkgeorge.com/Members/

In case you were wondering, it's not humid here in CO. Yeah! The other good news is that I have not fainted once in the last two weeks, not even while driving. Thanks so much for all the notes. I received so many that I could not reply to them all! Please know that I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Several people wrote to say that they had stopped to pray for us the day I fainted, or the day before. I'm thankful for you all, and the way the Lord protected us. The following day at a concert in Lawrence, KS I sang Psalm 121 with new gratitude to God.

By the way, for now I am simply upping my intake of good stuff to bolster my system. After talking with several folks, it seems there are some explanations for what happened, and it sounds as if it will not be too difficult to correct/avoid.

On to NEWS:
I really only have one item this go-round: My music was featured on a podcast produced by Focus on the Family called The Boundless Show. If you have some time in the car, or while mowing the lawn, or knocking around the house, you can down load it and give the show a listen. You can grab it at itunes, or at their site: http://boundless.typepad.com/podcast/

Also, watch for a future interview with the folks on The Boundless Show as well - I'll keep you posted.

Peace to you,
nathan
