My Cry Ascends

It’s on the way! The new release of Greg Wilbur’s compositions of Psalms and Hymns for congregational worship is just about here. The CD is produced by John Duncan at Ligonier Ministries and I think will prove to be a huge encouragement to many pastors searching for solid, singable, beautiful, and melodic renditions of great hymn texts and the Psalms. I’m very excited about this CD!

None of the singing on it comes across as if the singer wants to be on stage, and yet it is passionate. I think this is because the music and the text lends itself to contemplation, joy, reflection – well – worship.
