Waiting

An Update from Patsy:

Many of you are eagerly awaiting baby news!  Trust me, we are, too.  Our plan was to be up at Horn Creek right now, settling in and preparing for the birth.  However, due to a low platelet count that continued to drop, our midwife is uncomfortable allowing us to head up to such a high altitude.  She has figured out how to get my platelet count to go up instead of down, which is great news, but for now, we are camped in front of her house, about an hour from our destination.  We are so eager to settle in up there, and the wait is getting long.  My official due date isn’t until June 20.  However, I have always gone early, and under the current circumstances we are even more eager than usual for this baby to come!  We appreciate your prayers for a safe delivery in the very near future, and for patience as we hang out in our motor home, knowing that a 3 bedroom house awaits us up the mountain.

We’ll let you know the news as soon as we have some to give!

Patsy.

Hey Patsy,

We are definitely keeping you in our prayers. God knows right where he wants Little Baby George to be born!

Dear Patsy,
Thanks for your newsy note — and yes, we are praying every day that THIS will be the day. One of these days the Lord will answer all (everybody’s) prayers for you and Baby Six. I hope there’s a little something interesting to do or see in Canon (not much that I remember, except the Penitentiary). Maybe a city park somewhere? We all sympathize with the agony of waiting, but you have it even worse because of wanting (needing) to stretch out in that house. We love you, and all your little ones. Hugs and kisses to all. Betsy.

Thanks for the update, Patsy! I was thinking about you a great deal this weekend and wondering if baby George had arrived yet. We have three more weeks til the due date of our little one (and I’m usually late) so I understand the waiting! I’ll be praying for you this week!
